1968 Firebird 4 speed convertible

Red with black top and interior. Options include: Rebuilt 400 engine with muncie 4 speed. Wood steering wheel, 14X7 rally II wheels, power steering, tinted windshield, hood tach, dual exhaust with flowmasters.

BODY: This firebird has a super solid body. No rust in floor pans, excellent trunk pan, very nice quarters, lower front fenders, ect. Super straight with very nice older paint job. Bumpers have been rechromed, car has a recent convert top, all new weather strips (doors, top, trunk, window fuzzies). new wheel well chrome, new rocker chrome, new emblems and birds, door handles, mirrors, ect. Car is not perfect and does have minor flaws in the paint as it has been driven, overall the car has a nice overall appearance and does well at local shows and cruise in events.

INTERIOR: Interior is very nice with new carpet. dash is nice without any cracks in the dash pad. seats are nice with good plastic backs and nice headrests. door panels and armrests appear new. wood steering wheel is excellent with out pitting on wheel or horn cap. Hurst 4 speed shifter with unique firebird shift knob, Sony CD player.

ENGINE: Engine is a rebuilt non #'s matching 400. new pistons, rings, bearings, hv oil pump, resized rods, crank turned, mild cam w/new lifters, pushrods, double roller timing set, roller tipped rockers, rebuilt hi performance 1970 GTO heads (#13) with new guides, valves, springs, 3 angle valve job. Intake is the correct cast iron 68 400 4 brl manifold. Quadra jet carb. H.O. air breather, HEI distributor, headers, duals with flowmasters, New hp clutch, rebuilt trans, runs and drives great with good power. New radiator, hoses, tune up stuff, alt, starter, battery. Engine compartment appears nice. Engine is monitored by aftermarket gauges, has great oil pressure, runs cool, starts easily, does not knock or smoke.

Rear axle has been replaced with a highway ratio and car now drives easily at modern interstate speeds. Transmission is believed to be the orig 68 Muncie M20 4 speed and it operates as new. steering box is a quick ratio, steers tight, front suspension is tight, brakes are in good shape but sometimes exhibit a pull upon application, as common to most drum brake systems. top doors and windows have good fit. tach, speedo, gas gauge all appear to be accurate. This is a fun driver quality, attention getting car.
